Bio

El Ceg Gonzales is in his third season as an assistant coach for the Skyline College Women's Indoor Volleyball Program, bringing decades of experience and passion to the team.

In 2025, he also served as a Volunteer Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach at the University of San Francisco. Coach El Ceg also coached for San Francisco Juniors and Next Level Sports, further expanding his impact on youth and collegiate volleyball development.

El Ceg's volleyball journey began as a player for the City College of San Francisco Men's Indoor Team from 1990 to 1992. He continued to compete at a high level with a Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) AA Club Team from 1993 to 2010, helping his team secure multiple AA Gold League titles and Regional Championships.

His competitive career includes international appearances in Canada, Australia, Spain, and China. He has medaled in both beach and indoor volleyball at the World Police and Fire Games and the Can-Am Police-Fire Games, and has participated in the North America Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournaments.

From 2005 to 2010, El Ceg competed in the USA Volleyball Open Championships, earning an impressive collection of four gold, three silver, and one bronze medal.

El Ceg's lifelong dedication to volleyball has not only brought him personal success but has also fueled his commitment to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
