Coach Gabe Saucedo enters his tenure as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Skyline College, bringing a proven track record of sustained success at both the men’s and women’s collegiate levels.

Saucedo previously spent nine seasons as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Skyline College, where he compiled an impressive overall record of 103 wins, 55 losses, and 28 ties. Under his leadership, the program earned six playoff appearances, including three Sweet Sixteen berths and one Elite Eight run. His teams won back-to-back Northern conference championships in 2023 and 2024, and he was recognized as Conference Coach of the Year in both seasons as well as Northern California Coach of the Year in 2023. The program also produced 28 All-Conference players and 2 All-Americans, and achieved a national ranking of No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches final poll in 2023.

Prior to his time at Skyline, Saucedo served as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at City College of San Francisco for seven seasons. During his tenure, he built one of the most dominant programs in the country, capturing six consecutive Coast Conference championships and posting a remarkable conference record of 62 wins, 1 loss, and 14 ties. His teams consistently advanced deep into postseason play, reaching the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and twice advancing to the Final Four.

Saucedo’s CCSF program produced 55 All-Coast Conference players, including 4 Players of the Year. He was named Conference Coach of the Year four times (2010, 2012, 2014, 2015). Nationally, his teams earned top-15 rankings multiple times, including No. 6 (2011), No. 14 (2012), and No. 4 (2013). The program also developed five All-Americans and six All-West Region selections.

Before becoming a head coach, Saucedo served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the CCSF men’s program from 2005–2009 under legendary Head Coach Adam Lucarelli. During that span, the team compiled a record of 51 wins, 19 losses, and 16 ties and won two Coast Conference championships. He also gained valuable experience coaching at St. Ignatius College Preparatory and Loyola High School of Los Angeles.

In addition to his collegiate success, Saucedo has been involved with the San Francisco Glens USL League Two program for nine seasons, including serving as head coach in 2022 and 2023. During those seasons, the team earned playoff berths and advanced to the Round of 16. He has helped develop numerous players who have gone on to compete professionally in MLS, the USL Championship, and internationally in Europe.

A San Francisco native, Saucedo attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory, where he was a multi-sport athlete in soccer, football, and baseball, and was honored with the John E. Brophy Award, one of the school’s most prestigious honors, recognizing a senior student-athlete who exemplifies leadership, sportsmanship, character, and commitment to team and community. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in Spanish, as well as a master’s degree in education, from UC Berkeley, where he was also a member of four consecutive Rugby National Championship teams. He later earned a second master’s degree in organization and leadership from the University of San Francisco.
