Skyline kicked off Coast Conference North play with a close victory over City College of San Francisco. Skyline controlled a very tight game early holding a four point lead after the first quarter. The second quarter witnessed a CCSF run in the final two minutes capped by a buzzer beater that gave CCSF a 29-28 lead at halftime. Skyline answered back in the third quarter with controlled play and just enough scoring to head into the fourth quarter with the game tied at 38 apiece. Fourth quarter play went back and forth until a Niesha Ramirez layup and an Imaya Anderson basket and free throw with two minutes left gave Skyline the lead for good. Ramirez led Skyline with 13 points, Desiree Perez finished with 12 points, and Imaya Anderson added 8 points in the Skyline victory. Skyline continues Coast Conference play on Wednesday, January 14 when they host Foothill College at 5pm.
