Skyline Sweeps Weekend Crossover

 

Skyline Women's Basketball defeated Cuesta College last Friday night by a score of 57-49.  Though Skyline started slow they used big runs to stretch their lead to nearly 20 multiple times during the game.  Skyline played stellar defense throughout the contest holding their opponent to fewer than 50 points for the third game in a row.  Nia Rogers led all scorers with 18 points, while Desiree Perez and Niesha Ramirez scored 10 points each.

 

Skyline returned to action Saturday taking on Allan Hancock.  Skyline got off to a sluggish start before coming alive in the third quarter to outscore Hancock 19-9.  Taking a 20 point lead into the fourth quarter, Skyline cruised to a 57-44 victory improving their overall record to 6-1 on the season. Niesha Ramirez had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Nia Rogers finished with 13 points, and Imaya Anderson chipped in with 11 points for the win.
