Skyline Defeats District Rival San Mateo
Skyline showed its true character Wednesday night battling through foul trouble and showing composure down the stretch to defeat College of San Mateo 75-72. Freshman Lala Lautaimi scored 17 of her 20 points in the first half to pace Skyline's offense and give Skyline a 44-33 halftime lead. Skyline's shooting went cold in the Third Quarter, but scored just enough to keep CSM at bay. Key baskets down the stretch by freshmen Malia Latu and Angie Olive, along with two free throws from freshman Tati Newsome helped ice the game. Skyline improved to 16-3 overall and 3-0 in conference. Skyline will travel to Chabot on Friday, January 28 for a 5pm game.
