Skyline takes a pair from CCSF
Skyline took both games against City College of San Francisco to move to 17-4 overall and 4-2 in the Coast Conference North Division.
On Thursday, Skyline scored 18 runs on 19 hits in a 18-5 win. Trey Zahursky had 3 hits and drove in 4 runs to pace the Trojans offense. Jesse Pierce drove in 3 runs with a two run triple in the 2nd inning and a RBI double in the 3rd.
Freshman right hander Rowen Barnes picked up his 6th win of the season, tossing six shut out innings with 8 strikeouts.
On Friday, four Trojan pitchers combined for a four hit, 15-0 shutout of CCSF. Benito Valle-Jhanda picked up his 4th win of the season, going 6 innings and striking out four.
Michael Sarhatt hit a two run home run in the 6th inning and Jace Jeremiah drove in 3 runs.
Skyline will face district rival College of San Mateo for a two games next week. The Trojans will travel to San Mateo on March 22th @ 2:30pm and host the Bulldogs on March 24th @ 2:30pm.
