Baseball is Back! Skyline opens 2021 season at home vs. Monterey Peninsula
Skyline will host Monterey Peninsula College for two games this weekend. First pitch for game #1 is scheduled for 12:00pm.
Skyline Baseball will host Monterey Peninsula College for a double header on Saturday. The games will be the first athletic events held on campus since March 12th, 2020. After more than a year without games the Trojans are scheduled to play a 15 game season between April 10th and May 28th.
Skyline's campus is still closed to the public, so fans will not be allowed at the games. Players, coaches and umpires must have proof of a negative COVID test 48 hours before each game this season.
Skyline will field a roster of 15 players (5 sophomores and 10 freshmen) this season. Sophomores Jake Pahsby, Tony Zamagni, Gene Aberouette, Austin Brown and Carlos Solis Jr. will lead the Trojans this season.
Twelve games against local teams, West Valley College (Saratoga), College of San Mateo, and Canada College (Redwood City) will make up the remaining opponents during this abbreviated season.
