Sharabi Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

Skyline College, President Melissa Moreno and Interim Dean of Athletics Dino Nomicos are excited to announce the hiring of Mike Sharabi as the full time Head Women's Soccer Coach for the upcoming Fall 2022 season. 

Coach Sharabi comes back home to Skyline after spending two seasons as a player with the Men's Soccer team, earning All-Conference honors in both 2000 and 2001. He followed up his career at Skyline with two productive seasons at Menlo College, where he lead the team in scoring both seasons and was again an All-Conference performer. 

"I'm very excited to be coming back to Skyline College to coach the Women's Soccer team. I have so many great memories of Skyline as a player and student." said Sharabi. "I'm very much looking forward to the opportunity to work with our student athletes and help them achieve success both on and off the field. I'd like to thank President Moreno and Athletic Director Dino Nomicos for this amazing opportunity. Go Trojans!" 

Coach Sharabi has been successfully coaching local programs since 2006. First as an assistant coach at Menlo College, then at Burlingame High School where he lead the boys team to a PAL Championship and the CCS Finals. He also spent two seasons as an assistant at San Francisco State University, helping lead the program to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 35 years. 

Coach Sharabi was the lead assistant coach for the Foothill Women's Soccer team from 2010-2013 and helped guide the 2013 team to the only CCCAA State Final Four apperence in program history.

Since 2018, Coach Sharabi has been the Head Coach for the Foothill College Men's Soccer program, winning two Coast Conference Championships in 2019 and 2021. He was named Coast Conference Coach of the Year twice after leading Foothill to two CCCAA State Final Four appearances and a 34-3-7 record in those two seasons. 

Coach Sharabi has also served as Director of Coaching for the Peninsula Youth Soccer Club and is currently coaching for the Silicon Valley Soccer Club in the MLS Next league.
