Brayden Smith, a freshman outfielder from Los Gatos High, continues to be one of the most productive bats in the lineup, putting together an outstanding week to earn Player of the Week honors.
Over his last seven games, Smith was locked in at the plate, hitting an impressive .588 (20-for-34) while driving in six runs. He tallied four extra-base hits, including three doubles and a triple, and posted a strong .735 slugging percentage. Reaching base at a .600 clip, Smith consistently set the tone offensively and came through in key moments during a stretch that included multiple wins over Canada and San Mateo.
On the season, Smith has been just as dominant. Through 29 games, he is batting .439 with 50 hits in 114 at-bats, along with 29 RBI and a .496 on-base percentage.
